We are currently recruiting for a fantastic primary school in the L15 area of Liverpool who are looking for a passionate and dedicated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain valuable experience within a primary school and develop their skills before progressing into a career in teaching, SEN, psychology, social care or education.

The Role

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to access their learning, build confidence and develop their independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN
• Supporting targeted learning interventions
• Assisting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
• Working alongside the class teacher to support learning across the classroom
• Helping pupils engage with lessons and classroom activities
• Supporting pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs
• Building positive relationships with pupils and encouraging their confidence
• Working closely with the SENCO and wider school team

The Ideal Candidate

We are particularly interested in graduates who have a background or previous experience within a school, social care or a child-focused environment.

We welcome applications from graduates with degrees in subjects including:

• Psychology
• Sociology
• Education
• Childcare
• Health & Social Care
• Other related subjects

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable, whether this has been gained through employment, placements, volunteering or university experience.
