We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to become part of our dynamic team at an esteemed hospital in the beautiful city of Gloucester, Gloucestershire. Here, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of patient care by optimising medicines management and ensuring exceptional treatment outcomes across each patient's journey from pre-assessment to discharge. This is a permanent role with full-time and part-time options available, with a salary of £50,350 annually or £24,168 prorated if part-time, ideal for those who prefer working two full days and a part day. What you will do:
- Support medicines optimisation through medication review, reconciliation, and prescription review.
- Provide expert medicines advice to patients, carers, consultants, and staff.
- Assist in the safe procurement, management, and control of medication stock.
- Support the introduction and evaluation of new medicines and therapies.
- Contribute to clinical governance, including incident reporting, audits, and learning outcomes.
- Support pharmacy operations including dispensing, supply, and procurement processes.
- Assist in the training and development of colleagues across the hospital.
What you'll bring with you:
- Hospital pharmacy experience (preferred).
- Registered as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Clinical diploma or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Independent Prescriber (desirable).
