What you will do:

- Collaborate with the Clinical Lead SALT to develop the dysphagia and AAC services, and deliver training to elevate the knowledge and skills of the wider children’s workforce.
- Assess the feeding and communication needs of children and young people presenting with developmental, neurological, medical, and behavioural or sensory needs.
- Provide well-timed and appropriate interventions, ensuring family needs are accounted for.
- Offer specialist second opinions to Speech and Language Therapy colleagues and supervise junior colleagues, assistants, and student SLTs.
- Participate actively in departmental research projects and quality improvement initiatives to continually enhance service delivery.

Registration requirements include having HCPC registration, and as this role involves community visits, you will need to be a confident driver.
