What you will do

• Manage a specialist oncology dietetic caseload, applying your expertise to both inpatients and outpatients with complex nutritional needs.
• Provide nutritional assessments and interventions specifically tailored for Head & Neck and Upper GI oncology patients, ensuring comprehensive care.
• Support patients requiring enteral feeding, particularly those with NG and RIG tubes, and manage their nutrition with precision.
• Attend and actively contribute to multidisciplinary team clinics, sharing insights and collaborating on patient care plans.
• Develop, review, and adapt nutritional care plans to optimise patient outcomes and enhance recovery.
• Offer specialist dietetic advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals, leveraging your knowledge to make a meaningful impact.
• Monitor and evaluate nutritional outcomes to ensure treatment effectiveness and maintain accurate clinical records.

Requirements

• BSc in Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent, with HCPC registration as a Dietitian.
• Proven experience at Band 7 level in Dietetics, specifically Clinical Oncology Dietetics.
• Experience with Head & Neck and Upper GI Oncology cases, and managing patients with NG and RIG feeding tubes.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to independently manage a specialist caseload.

Desirable Requirements

• Postgraduate qualification at Master's level in a relevant specialty.
• Experience supervising and line managing staff, as well as conducting audits and research.
• Teaching experience for healthcare professionals and patients.
