As a Band 5 Registered General Nurse, you will utilise your experience in community addiction care, delivering comprehensive substance use assessments and holistic support to individuals with complex needs. This is a varied and rewarding role offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
What you will do:

Provide trauma-informed care, supporting OST pathways including methadone, buprenorphine, and depot preparations such as Buvidal

Deliver harm reduction interventions including naloxone training and overdose prevention

Monitor mental and physical health, identifying early signs of deterioration and escalating concerns appropriately

Participate in multi-agency planning with GPs, CMHTs, social care, and other services

Use motivational interviewing and psychosocial approaches to enhance patient engagement

Document and communicate clinical information accurately using systems such as SystmOne

Respond to unplanned presentations and manage crisis situations effectively

Apply desired clinical skills including venepuncture, routine blood monitoring, and ECG recording
