Lead proactive risk management across large scale Aviation projects!
Our Client has a requirement for a Risk Lead, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Stansted.
Role Purpose:
- Leading risk management.
- Developing a robust Programme culture of proactive risk management to drive effective risk mitigation.
- Ensure the successful delivery of risk management in a consistent, professional manner.
- Managing the risk Team.
- Facilitate workshops and engage with project teams to ensure the effective implementation of risk management.
- Implement effective risk management activities to actively reduce risk exposure and uncertainty.
- Administering the risk datable – riskHive and managing the project's risks in riskHive.
- Providing Risk Management Training to the programme team.
- Undertake monthly risk reporting for the programme.
- Carry out quantitative risk analysis using riskHive (QCRA) and PRA or Safran (QSRA).
- Support the development of new risk management processes, procedures, and tools as part of continuous improvement and innovation.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Conducting a monthly risk workshop for each project with the project team.
- Conducting a monthly programme risk workshop with the programme leadership team.
- Running adhoc risk reviews when required.
- Update the riskHive databse based on the outputs of risk workshops.
- Monthly QCRA run in riskHive.
- Quarterly QSRA required run in PRA or Safran.
- Input to the monthly project level risk reports summarising risk performance in the period.
- Input to the monthly Programme level risk report summarising risk performance in the period.
- Attending the monthly project and programme level MPRs.
- Impact assessing all changes in respect of risk.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- A recognised diploma or degree or be qualified by experience with a qualification in risk management.
- Experience of working on major infrastructure projects in at least one of the following sectors: Transportation, Energy, or Infrastructure.
- Demonstrate competency with implementing Risk Management processes aligned with ISO31000/ - Institute of Risk Management / Association of Project Management methodologies including but not limited to:
- Initiating, developing, and implementing risk management processes.
- Facilitating workshops as part of the overall delivery of the risk process.
- Conducting risk reviews applying qualitative scoring of risks.
- Undertaking Quantitative Risk Analysis techniques.
- Producing appropriate risk management reports to inform decision making.
- Awareness of industry risk management tools such as: ARM, Xactium, Primavera Risk Analysis, SafranRisk, @Risk, Risk Predict!
- An understanding of the Value Management process and how it is applied on projects.
- An understanding of how risk management integrates with other Project Management and Project Controls disciplines including cost estimating, project planning and contract administration.
