Our Client has a requirement for an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis at their office in Warrington.

Role Purpose of the EC&I Engineer

To provide Electrical, Control & Instrumentation engineering design and support services for a range of projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, specifications, and project objectives.

Job Role Responsibilities of the EC&I Engineer

• Carry out site surveys, visits, and client meetings
• Prepare EC&I cable routing drawings and cable schedules
• Deliver EC&I engineering design and documentation
• Produce electrical cable diagrams and loop diagrams
• Develop EC&I installation scope of work documents
• Prepare EC&I datasheets and associated documentation
• Check and approve engineering design deliverables
• Prepare vendor packs for invitation to tender and liaise with vendors
• Conduct technical evaluations of estimates and supplier bids
• Coordinate with other disciplines (process, piping, mechanical, civil/structural) to align design requirements
• Provide technical assistance for equipment specifications and bid compliance

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications of the EC&I Engineer

• Minimum HNC in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering (Degree preferred)
• Proven experience in EC&I design, calculations, and technical problem-solving
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects to specification, within budget and timescales
• Experience representing EC&I discipline at client and project meetings
• Working knowledge of ATEX Directives for electrical equipment in hazardous areas (beneficial)
• Experience with distribution and motor control systems (desirable)
• Familiarity with Pro/ENGINEER software (advantageous)
