Our Client has a requirement for a Change Manager, who will be required to work on a Contract basis in Glasgow.
Contract Length: Initially 12 Months (up to 3 years of work)
IR35 status: Inside IR35 Umbrella
Rate: Negotiable dependent on experience
Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home
Position Overview
HMNB Clyde Overview
His Majesty’s Naval Base Clyde (HMNB Clyde) is home to the United Kingdom’s Strategic Nuclear Deterrent, Astute Class Attack Submarines, Sandown Class Mine Hunter Vessels, and 43 Commando Royal Marines. It is an operational support and maintenance base within the Navy Command TLB and comprises both Faslane and Coulport sites.
HMNB Clyde’s primary purpose is to provide engineering and logistical support to the Royal Navy in maintaining the Continuous at Sea Deterrent (CASD). This ensures that at least one Vanguard Class submarine is on patrol at sea every day of the year.
Programme Euston Overview
Programme Euston aims to address future submarine docking capability requirements within HMNB Clyde. A Joint Project Team (JPT) has been established to deliver the programme, comprising personnel from Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), and their respective supply chains. This role is part of the joint Client team within Programme Euston.
Role Purpose
The Change Management Lead will be responsible for managing and driving the Change Management procedure for the Joint Project Team (JPT). The postholder will lead and coordinate all aspects of the Change Management process, ensuring effective interface and communication across the wider JPT.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the Change Management Plan, including associated forms and templates.
- Maintain the Programme Euston Change Register.
- Chair the Change Committee, providing full secretariat support.
- Prepare and deliver summary information, reports, and metrics derived from the Change Register.
- Provide advice and support to Project Managers on all matters relating to change management.
- Undertake additional related tasks as required, agreed on a task-by-task basis within the overall scope of the role.
Experience:
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in project, programme, or portfolio controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI).
- Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills; adaptable and flexible.
- Proactive problem-solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills and processes.
- Confidence to take initiative, embrace challenges, and pursue personal development.
Desirable:
- Experience using CEMAR contract administration software.
- Experience working within the Ministry of Defence (MoD), particularly at HMNB Clyde.
Qualifications & Training:
Essential:
- SC Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Demonstrable experience in Change Management.
Desirable:
- Chartered professional status in a related discipline (e.g., engineering, project management, or business change).
