Occupational Therapist - SEND Team within Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Gloucester, earning up to £35 per hour on an hourly basis, is a thrilling opportunity not to be missed. What you will do:

  • Serve as the Lead Occupational Therapist for SEND appeals and tribunal legal processes, providing specialist knowledge in complex educational cases.
  • Collaborate closely with the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Team and other stakeholders, contributing as an expert witness where occupational therapy provision is contested.
  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with a variety of needs, including complex disabilities, delivering occupationally focused assessments, reports, and interventions.
  • Act as an expert advisor and practitioner in Children's Occupational Therapy, offering second opinions when OT provision in an EHCP is contested.


To excel in this role, you must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have access to a vehicle for community visits. Your expertise and ability to navigate complex legal processes will be key to supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
