What you will do:
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care needs for individuals with ADHD, tailoring personalised care plans.
- Mentor, supervise, and provide guidance to both qualified and unqualified staff, including students, nurturing their development.
- Exhibit expertise in addressing crisis situations and managing patients with complex mental health needs such as epilepsy and medication management.
- Advocate for patients' rights, ensuring care plans respect their dignity, choice, cultural, and personal preferences.
- Conduct comprehensive physical health checks using the SaBP assessment template, ensuring a holistic approach to care in various settings.
- Follow NICE guidance on annual physical checks and actively participate in comprehensive risk assessments and risk management planning.
- Collaborate effectively with acute and primary care services, developing robust partnerships to enhance patient care.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, other agencies, and families within the community.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent.
- Experience as a Mental Health Nurse, with active NMC Registration.
