What you will do:
- Advocate for the best interests and wellbeing of children in care, ensuring their voices are heard and needs are met.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans, working closely with colleagues, families, and other professionals to support positive outcomes for each child.
- Conduct regular visits and assessments, keeping records updated to reflect each child's progress and any changes in their situation.
- Facilitate the adoption process when necessary, coordinating with all relevant parties to ensure smooth transitions for children moving to permanent homes.
- Travel both locally and occasionally longer distances as required to meet with children and families while managing your workload effectively.

Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK as a qualified Social Worker
- Recent experience in Children in Care (CIC) and adoption, with a focus on CIC roles within the last five years
- Willingness to travel locally and further afield as needed
