What you will do:

• Join an integrated multi-disciplinary team, supporting the Lead for Children’s Occupational Therapy to deliver professional services across the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
• Utilise your knowledge of Sensory Integration to enhance your approach in practice, particularly in working with children and families affected by adoption, mental health, learning disabilities, and educational settings.
• Work therapeutically with children and families, fostering a supportive environment that is welcoming to children and reassuring to parents.
• Contribute to the development of the service, and participate in clinical and service audits as needed.
• Develop and present training courses for staff, parents, teachers, and other related professionals.
• Supervise junior Occupational Therapy staff, students, and volunteers, offering guidance and support.
• Manage and co-ordinate a defined caseload of children and young people with complex needs aged 0-18 years.
• Be responsible for conducting assessments and implementing evidence-based intervention plans.
• Set functional goals in collaboration with young individuals, parents, carers, and the multidisciplinary team, using standardised outcome measures.
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary framework, sharing information and strategies to meet the needs of children and young people effectively.

To be considered for this role, you should be HCPC registered with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in paediatric occupational therapy. A driving licence is preferable but not essential.
