Band 6/7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist - Guernsey - £40 Hourly

What you will do:
- Join an integrated multi-disciplinary team, supporting the Lead for Children’s Occupational Therapy to deliver professional services across the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
- Utilise your knowledge of Sensory Integration to enhance your approach in practice, particularly in working with children and families affected by adoption, mental health, learning disabilities, and educational settings.
- Work therapeutically with children and families, fostering a supportive environment that is welcoming to children and reassuring to parents.
- Contribute to the development of the service, and participate in clinical and service audits as needed.
- Develop and present training courses for staff, parents, teachers, and other related professionals.
- Supervise junior Occupational Therapy staff, students, and volunteers, offering guidance and support.
- Manage and co-ordinate a defined caseload of children and young people with complex needs aged 0-18 years.
- Be responsible for conducting assessments and implementing evidence-based intervention plans.
- Set functional goals in collaboration with young individuals, parents, carers, and the multidisciplinary team, using standardised outcome measures.
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary framework, sharing information and strategies to meet the needs of children and young people effectively.
To be considered for this role, you should be HCPC registered with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in paediatric occupational therapy. A driving licence is preferable but not essential.
