We are on the looking for a Graduate Science Teaching Assistant who holds:

• A 1st or 2:1 in a Science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Natural Sciences, etc.) from a top-30 or Russell Group university
• Strong A-Levels and GCSEs, particularly in Science and Maths
• Excellent communication skills and a clear, confident presence
• A genuine love for science and a desire to share that with young people
• Experience working with children or young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is highly desirable

Graduate Science Teaching Assistant – Job Responsibilities

This is the perfect opportunity for a talented Graduate Science Teaching Assistant who wants to build long-term experience in education. Working across KS3 and KS4, you’ll play a vital role in the day-to-day life of the Science department. Your role will include:

• Running small group and 1:1 intervention to support those falling behind
• Stretching high-achieving students and challenging their curiosity
• Helping students grasp tricky scientific concepts in a clear, engaging way
• Supporting teachers during practical lessons and class activities
• Providing tailored support to SEN and EAL pupils where needed
• Spotting students who need encouragement and lifting them up
