English Teacher in Walsall, West Midlands

We are recruiting for an English Teacher to join a welcoming and high-achieving Secondary School in Walsall, recently rated ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED. The school is known for its strong leadership, supportive staff culture, and high standards of behaviour and academic achievement. With a thriving English department and a clear focus on student progress and wellbeing, this is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic English Teacher to make a real impact. The role is full-time, starting as soon as possible, and will run until the end of the academic year, with potential to continue into September.

Job Role:

• Full class teaching responsibilities for English Language and Literature
• Planning and marking in line with the National Curriculum
• Teaching across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
• Assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records
• Working collaboratively with the English department to enhance curriculum delivery
• Creating engaging lessons that promote student participation and attainment

Required Skills and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
• Experience teaching English in a UK Secondary School
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for English
• Excellent subject knowledge and confident classroom delivery
• High expectations for behaviour and academic performance
• Passionate about supporting students’ progress and development
