What you will do:
- Manage a caseload of children, young people and families involved in both statutory and voluntary Youth Justice interventions, guiding them towards positive outcomes.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of risk, vulnerability, safety and needs using frameworks and tools approved by the Youth Justice Board.
- Develop, implement and regularly review intervention plans that focus on achieving outcomes to tackle offending behaviour and decrease chances of reoffending.
- Prepare detailed reports for use in Youth Court proceedings, Referral Orders, Youth Rehabilitation Orders and other statutory processes.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- Educated to Level 3 or higher in a relevant discipline such as Youth Work, Criminology, Social Care, Criminal Justice, or Psychology.
- A relevant professional qualification in Social Work, Probation, Youth Work or Community Justice will be highly regarded, although not essential.
Experience:
- Substantial experience in supporting children, young people, and families within Youth Justice, Youth Offending Teams, Social Care, Early Help or similar services.
- Experience managing complex cases involving aspects such as offending behaviour, safeguarding concerns, as well as vulnerability and risk management is preferred.
