What you will do

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care programmes throughout the perioperative pathway.
• Undertake duties within scrub, anaesthetic, and/or recovery areas in line with competency frameworks and operational needs.
• Monitor patients' clinical condition, escalating concerns promptly and acting appropriately in emergency situations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional perioperative care to patients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity are at the forefront of everything you do.
• Assess and evaluate individualised care plans, making adjustments as necessary to meet each patient's unique needs.
• Perform your duties in scrub, anaesthetic, or recovery areas with precision and care, depending on your competency and the operational requirements.
• Keep a vigilant eye on patients' clinical conditions, reacting swiftly and appropriately in any emergency situations.

Person Specification

• Must be a Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
• Evidence of continuing professional development is required.
• Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification is desirable but not essential; willingness to undergo training is a must.
• A theatre or perioperative care qualification is desirable, as well as experience in an acute healthcare environment. Previous operating theatre, surgical ward, or perioperative experience is a bonus.
