Seven Resourcing is on the hunt for a dynamic and skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team in Halifax, UK. This exciting full-time locum role starts in May and runs for an initial period of three months. Earn £19.27 per hour via an umbrella company or £12.70 via PAYE, working 37 hours each week. What you will do:
- Provide top-quality planned maintenance and responsive repairs for a variety of vehicles including HGVs, light commercials, cars, accessible buses, and more.
- Perform MOT tests on class IV, V, and VII vehicles, as well as private hire and hackney carriage compliance tests, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Take enforcement action as necessary when vehicles do not pass compliance tests.
- Deliver a timely and customer-focused vehicle inspection service, whether in the depot or out at the site as directed by the Senior Workshop Supervisor.
- Undertake cost-effective servicing, repairs, and safety inspections on vehicles and equipment, paying attention to service dues and certifications.
- Diagnose issues and carry out repairs efficiently while adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
- Provide training and guidance to fellow staff when required, promoting a culture of learning and support.
- Maintain the Workshop/MOT bay to a high standard, ensuring a safe and productive working environment.
About you:
You must be a nominated MOT tester capable of covering Class IV, V, VII vehicles. Holding a City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Technician Certificate or equivalent NVQ level 2 is essential. Your expertise and knowledge will empower you to thrive in this role, delivering exceptional service to our clients.
