What you will do
- Surface Treatment: Apply resurfacing materials to roadways during summer months to maintain road safety.
- Winter Maintenance: Undertake night duties in winter for precautionary salt spreading and related highway tasks.
- Plant Operations: Carry out surface dressing including laying bitumen, spreading, levelling, and operating machinery.
- Seasonal Tasks: Support activities such as snow clearance, flood prevention, and material stock preparation.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all relevant health, safety, and quality procedures to ensure safe working practices.
- Supervision Support: Occasionally assist in supervising apprentices and temporary staff.
- Emergency Response: Participate in standby rotas for emergency and out-of-hours work.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain vehicles and tools, ensuring they remain in good working condition.
