What you will do:
- Lead, manage, and develop a statutory Children in Care team, ensuring service delivery aligns with current legislation and statutory guidance.
- Provide reflective supervision, performance management, appraisals, and professional development for Social Workers and support staff.
- Oversee care planning, pathway planning, permanence planning, and placement stability for children and young people.
- Ensure safeguarding risks are properly identified, managed, and escalated to protect children and improve their outcomes.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work or a recognised equivalent qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Management or leadership qualification desirable.
Experience
- Significant post-qualification experience within statutory children's social care.
- Proven experience managing or supervising Children in Care, Looked After Children, or Corporate Parenting services.
