KPI Education is working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist SEN school in Sutton to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist to join their established multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy within a supportive setting that prioritises communication, independence, and holistic development.

About the Role

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and deliver targeted interventions for pupils across the school. You will support children and young people in developing communication skills, reducing barriers to learning, and increasing independence.

You will play an active role in shaping effective practice within your area while working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families to ensure consistent, high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver assessment and intervention for pupils with speech, language, and communication needs
• Plan and implement evidence-based therapy programmes tailored to individual needs
• Support pupils with autism and complex communication profiles
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to integrate communication strategies across the curriculum
• Contribute to EHCP targets and review processes
• Monitor and evaluate pupil progress and adjust interventions accordingly
• Liaise with families and external professionals to support joined-up care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical and educational records
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to whole-school planning

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a committed and skilled clinician who:

• Holds a recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
• Is registered with HCPC and ideally a member of RCSLT
• Has experience working with children and young people with SEN, particularly autism
• Demonstrates knowledge of evidence-based and neuro-affirming practice
• Works well within multidisciplinary teams
• Has strong communication and organisational skills
• Is passionate about improving outcomes for children with additional needs
