What you will do:

Team Leadership: Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Leaving Care Team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and positive outcomes for young people.

Supervision and Management: Manage, supervise, and support Social Workers, Personal Advisors, and other team members to maintain excellent practice standards.

Pathway Planning: Oversee assessments, pathway planning, and review processes, promoting independence and successful transitions into adulthood.

Statutory Responsibilities: Ensure statutory duties towards care leavers are fulfilled in line with relevant legislation, guidance, and local procedures.

Quality Assurance: Lead audits, monitor performance, and use feedback and inspection findings to drive service improvement.

Participation and Engagement: Promote young people's participation and ensure their views influence planning, service delivery, and decision-making.

Partnership Working: Build and maintain effective relationships with housing services, health professionals, education providers, voluntary organisations, and other key partners.

Representation: Represent the Leaving Care Team at multi-agency meetings, panels, and strategic forums, advocating for the needs of young people.

Performance Management: Monitor team performance, oversee resources, and implement improvement plans to achieve service objectives.

Safeguarding: Maintain safeguarding as a core priority, providing management oversight, guidance, and support on complex cases.
