What you will do
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and supervision to social workers and fostering staff.
- Assessment Oversight: Support the team in delivering comprehensive foster carer assessments and ongoing support.
- Performance Management: Monitor team performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Fostering Development: Oversee recruitment, assessment, and retention of foster carers.
- Safeguarding: Lead on safeguarding concerns and child protection matters within fostering services.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to fostering regulations, legislation, and council policies.
- Partnership Working: Build strong relationships with partner agencies to deliver coordinated services.
- Resource Management: Manage team resources effectively to meet service objectives.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Social Work Qualification: Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
- Registration: Current Social Work England registration.
- Experience: Significant experience within fostering or children’s services.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing or supervising social work teams.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: Strong understanding of fostering regulations and safeguarding frameworks.
- Communication Skills: Excellent ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with stakeholders.
