What you will do

• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and supervision to social workers and fostering staff.
• Assessment Oversight: Support the team in delivering comprehensive foster carer assessments and ongoing support.
• Performance Management: Monitor team performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Fostering Development: Oversee recruitment, assessment, and retention of foster carers.
• Safeguarding: Lead on safeguarding concerns and child protection matters within fostering services.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to fostering regulations, legislation, and council policies.
• Partnership Working: Build strong relationships with partner agencies to deliver coordinated services.
• Resource Management: Manage team resources effectively to meet service objectives.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Social Work Qualification: Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
• Registration: Current Social Work England registration.
• Experience: Significant experience within fostering or children’s services.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing or supervising social work teams.
• Safeguarding Knowledge: Strong understanding of fostering regulations and safeguarding frameworks.
• Communication Skills: Excellent ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with stakeholders.
