What you will do:
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to foster carers, ensuring they have the necessary resources, training, and emotional support to create a stable home environment.
- Conduct regular visits to foster homes to monitor the welfare of children, addressing any concerns proactively and ensuring holistic care.
- Ensure foster placements meet safeguarding standards, prioritising the best interests of each child.
- Carry out thorough assessments of foster carers and produce detailed reports for fostering panels and care planning meetings.
- Coordinate and deliver targeted training opportunities for foster carers, covering relevant topics to enhance their capabilities.
- Collaborate effectively with social workers, health professionals, and educational teams to ensure the holistic well-being of children in foster care.
- Manage crisis situations with poise, offering crucial support during any placement breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive case files and documentation, aligned with local authority policies.
