What you will do:

• Manage a Children in Care caseload, undertaking assessments, care planning, statutory visits and reviews in line with the Children Act 1989 and 2004.
• Develop, implement and review care plans and permanency plans to achieve timely and stable outcomes for children.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of looked after children, ensuring their voice and lived experience inform all decision-making.
• Prepare high-quality reports and present professional evidence for Looked After Reviews, care planning meetings and Family Court proceedings.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work (or equivalent recognised qualification).
• Completion of Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) where applicable.

Registration and Compliance:

• Registered with Social Work England.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Children Act 1989/2004, Care Planning Regulations and statutory guidance for looked after children.
