What you will do:
- Provide day-to-day operational management of the Duty and Assessment Team, ensuring the smooth allocation, oversight, and quality assurance of statutory assessments and Section 47 enquiries.
- Lead and manage duty weeks on a rotational basis to ensure safe and timely decision-making on new referrals received through MASH.
- Deliver reflective supervision, performance management, and professional development for social workers, ASYE practitioners, and assistant team managers.
- Ensure practice complies with the Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and local safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised UK qualification.
- Relevant management or leadership qualification is desirable.
Registration & Compliance:
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- A solid working knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, Care Planning Regulations, and Working Together guidance.
