Join the London Borough of Brent and help support the Children with Disabilities Team. Core working hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, but don't worry, we understand life can be unpredictable. That's why we offer flexible start and end times to fit your lifestyle, be it 8 am to 6 pm over four days or a part-time arrangement.

What you will do:

  • Conduct core assessments, pre-birth assessments, and risk assessments.
  • Undertake Section 47 Child Protection investigations.
  • Prepare statements for court and complete Section 7 and 37 reports.
  • Represent the authority in court by giving evidence.
  • Visit homes to monitor and safeguard children.
  • Maintain thorough and up-to-date case records.
  • Convene and chair core group meetings, liaising with other professionals.
  • Collaborate with the police on joint investigations and interviews.
  • Initiate and manage care proceedings, implementing and reviewing Care Plans.
  • Supervise contact and write case conference reports.
  • Attend case conferences, Child in Need strategy meetings, and develop Child in Need plans.
