What you will do:

- Manage a complex mixed caseload that includes children in need (CIN), child protection (CP), and looked-after children (LAC) circumstances.
- Strive to achieve excellent outcomes for children and their families through thorough assessments and tailored intervention plans.
- Evaluate and manage risk using evidence-based approaches to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
- Utilize social work tools, practices, and research to inform interventions that support family unity and child welfare during crises.
- Work directly with children, young people, and their families to stabilize situations and prioritize the welfare of the child.
- Build effective working relationships with service users, their families, and multi-agency partners to ensure comprehensive support.
- Comply with local intervention thresholds and manage cases effectively within regulatory frameworks.
- Record and case manage in accordance with statutory requirements using competent ICT skills.
- Mentor and coach less experienced colleagues, share good practices, and participate in professional development opportunities to continually enhance team effectiveness.
- Fulfil duties as required by the office duty system and adhere to social work regulatory standards, performance metrics, and ethical guidelines.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

- Degree or equivalent qualification in social work.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable frontline experience within UK Social Services in a qualified social worker role.
