What you will do:
- Provide high-quality care to mothers and newborns throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
- Monitor and manage labour and delivery processes ensuring the health and safety of both mother and child.
- Educate families on pregnancy wellness, childbirth, and newborn care offering ongoing support and guidance.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records ensuring all paperwork is completed promptly.
Requirements of the Midwife:
- Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council NMC.
- Degree in Midwifery or equivalent qualification.
- Certified in Basic Adult Life Support.
- Qualified to Safeguarding Level 3 with additional certifications in clinical skills such as PROMPT BFI, cannulation, and venepuncture.
- Qualified in the Newborn and Infant Physical Examination NIPE and certified in Neonatal Life Support.
