Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse within Crisis Service in Isle of Wight (UK), Rates: Days £26, Nights/Saturdays £34 Sundays/Bank Holidays £41 p/h. As a Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will be a key part of the Mental Health Services frontline response team, assessing and supporting people of all ages who present to the acute hospital with mental health and learning disabilities.

What you will do:
- Provide urgent assessments and emergency interventions to individuals in crisis situations referred to the service.
- Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments in a responsive and timely manner.
- Take responsibility for planning and delivering person-centred care and support plans.
- Ensure appropriate signposting and make onward referrals as required to meet the needs of the service user.
- Collaborate with service users and their support networks to develop plans suited to their needs.
- Work alongside other key service providers including Social Care services, Police, Safeguarding, and 3rd Sector agencies.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the service as well as the advancement of professional practices.
- Maintain professional and effective communication, ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity at all times.
- Uphold the Trust’s Equalities Framework competencies by managing relationships and behavior effectively.
Requirements:
- Must be a Registered Nurse or an allied health professional in Mental Health.
- Hold mentorship or supervision qualifications or training.
- Demonstrate evidence-based reflective practice experience.
- Show experience in therapeutic engagement with patients in group settings.
- Possess wide knowledge and appreciation of various models of practice in both social and health care.
- Be informed of interventions and strategies that address both social and health care needs.
- Understand current national legislative and professional requirements in social and health care.
- Demonstrated ability in report writing, risk assessment, and management.
- Capability to work effectively under pressure and in crisis situations.
- Display strong communication and therapeutic skills, such as active listening and empathy.
