Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker Team Manager to lead a Multi-Agency Child Exploitation Hub within Children’s Services in Northamptonshire. This is a senior Social Care leadership role within a high-risk safeguarding environment, focusing on children and young people affected by criminal exploitation, sexual exploitation, trafficking, and contextual harm.
This opportunity is ideal for a qualified Social Worker with strong Team Manager experience within Children’s Social Care, particularly within Child Exploitation, Contextual Safeguarding, or Multi-Agency Safeguarding services. The successful candidate will provide operational leadership, multi-agency coordination, and professional oversight across complex safeguarding cases.
Job Purpose
To manage and lead a Multi-Agency Child Exploitation Hub within Children’s Social Care, overseeing a team of Advanced Practitioners delivering coordinated safeguarding responses for children and young people at high risk of exploitation. The Social Worker Team Manager will ensure effective risk management, partnership working, and high-quality safeguarding interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 6 Advanced Practitioners within a Child Exploitation Hub
- Provide Social Worker leadership and oversight of complex safeguarding and exploitation cases
- Coordinate multi-agency safeguarding responses for children and young people at risk of exploitation
- Provide advice, guidance, and professional decision-making support to locality Social Work teams
- Develop contextual safeguarding approaches, including exploitation mapping and hotspot analysis
- Chair and contribute to complex strategy discussions, meetings, and safeguarding planning
- Ensure robust risk assessment, safety planning, and intervention delivery
- Work collaboratively with police, health, education, and partner agencies
- Ensure compliance with statutory Children’s Social Care and safeguarding legislation
- Promote trauma-informed Social Work practice across the service
- Monitor service performance, safeguarding outcomes, and case quality
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration (or equivalent)
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Social Work Team Manager in Children’s Social Care (essential)
- Strong background in Child Exploitation, Criminal Exploitation, Sexual Exploitation, or Trafficking cases
- Experience within Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hubs (MASH), exploitation teams, or contextual safeguarding services
- Strong leadership and operational management experience within Social Work services
- Ability to manage high-risk, complex safeguarding cases confidently
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and partnership working skills
- Strong understanding of statutory safeguarding frameworks and legislation
Additional Requirements
- DfE cover sheet must be completed prior to submission
- Minimum 3 days per week office attendance in Northamptonshire
- Strong experience in high-risk safeguarding Social Work environments is essential
