Team Manager Social Worker - Youth Offending Service in Lambeth UK, earning £45.20 per hour. As the Team Manager, you will be at the forefront of developing and maintaining high standards of practice within the Youth Offending Service. Here is what you will do:
What you will do:
- Deliver leadership in both practice and operations, ensuring alignment with service-wide objectives and fostering continuous improvement.
- Oversee the allocation of work, ensure timely completion of assessments and reports, and uphold quality assurance and professional supervision of staff.
- Engage actively in partnership working, forging strong relationships with peers, leaders, and external agencies to support young people and families effectively.
- Provide expert guidance on youth justice and social care, keeping abreast of policy and legislative changes to ensure staff are well-informed.
- Represent the team at various internal and external meetings, chairing sessions and advocating for service excellence.
- Design and deliver training to staff and stakeholders, aiding professional development and promoting the Youth Offending Service.
- Handle financial responsibilities within an agreed budget, ensuring transactions are processed promptly.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, a degree in Social Work or Community Justice is required, alongside substantial experience in youth justice settings. A sound understanding of legislation and practice, along with a proven ability to manage and inspire a team, is essential.
