What you will do
- Undertake psychological assessments and develop evidence-based recommendations for children and young people with SEND and additional needs.
- Provide consultation and intervention to schools, families, settings, and partner agencies to foster inclusion and enhance educational outcomes.
- Offer professional advice for Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessments in line with statutory requirements.
- Collaboratively work within multi-agency teams including education, health, social care, and specialist services.
- Empower schools and educational settings through training, coaching, and capacity-building initiatives.
- Utilise psychological frameworks to foster improvement in learning, behaviour, attendance, emotional wellbeing, and transitions.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology recognised in the UK.
- Eligibility to practise as an Educational Psychologist.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
Registration & Compliance
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience
- Experience working as an Educational Psychologist in a local authority, educational psychology service, or related setting.
- Proven experience contributing to EHCP assessments and SEND processes.
