What you will do:

  • Manage a complex caseload involving Children in Need, Child Protection, PLO, and care proceedings.

  • Undertake high-quality assessments, risk analysis, and care planning in line with statutory guidance.

  • Lead and contribute to PLO processes, including pre-proceedings meetings and documentation preparation.

  • Prepare clear, analytical reports and evidence for court proceedings and attend hearings when required.

  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and practice guidance to Social Workers and Newly Qualified Social Workers.

  • Support management with case direction, decision-making, and quality assurance activity.

  • Model child-centred, trauma-informed, and strengths-based social work practice.

  • Advise on and manage complex safeguarding cases involving potential significant harm.

  • Promote effective multi-agency collaboration to ensure timely and appropriate interventions.
