What you will do:

Emergency and Safeguarding Response:
- Respond to urgent referrals and safeguarding concerns outside standard office hours.
- Undertake emergency interventions for children at risk, vulnerable adults, and families in crisis.
- Complete emergency assessments, visits, and joint interviews with police where required.
Statutory Decision-Making:
- Make immediate decisions regarding safeguarding interventions, emergency accommodation, and protective actions.
- Apply relevant legal frameworks, including Police Protection and Emergency Protection Orders.
- Authorise and arrange emergency placements for children and adults when necessary.
Multi-Agency Working:
- Work collaboratively with police, health services, housing, mental health services, and other partner agencies.
- Participate in strategy discussions and contribute to urgent safeguarding and risk management planning.
Recording and Handover:
- Maintain accurate and timely case records with clear decision-making rationales.
- Provide comprehensive handovers to ensure continuity of care and follow-up by daytime services.
