What you will do:
- Conduct assessments, reviews, and support planning for children and families in accordance with the Care Act 2014
- Screen incoming referrals within the Single Assessment function and direct accordingly, included signposting to prevention services
- Manage safeguarding concerns in line with the relevant procedures, including undertaking necessary enquiries
- Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with NHS partners, occupational therapists, and community providers
- Assess and manage risk, determine mental capacity, and make best interest decisions using the Mental Capacity Act 2005 framework
- Maintain accurate case records while ensuring compliance with data governance protocols
Person Specification:
- Degree in Social Work (BA/MA) or equivalent recognised qualification
- Registration with Social Work England SWE
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and safeguarding adults frameworks
- Understanding of Equality Act 2010 and public sector duties
