What you will do:

  • Serve as a senior practitioner within the Front Door Team, efficiently managing and screening referrals to Children’s Services.
  • Conduct proportionate assessments, gather information, and analyse risks to determine the most suitable statutory or preventative responses.
  • Consistently apply the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014, utilise Wales Safeguarding Procedures, and adhere to CYSUR thresholds in decision-making.
  • Offer valuable advice, information, and guidance to families, professionals, and partner agencies at the referral's first point of contact.

Person Specification: You must possess a degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work. Registration with Social Work England and an enhanced DBS clearance are required. A robust understanding of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and Wales Safeguarding Procedures is essential for this role.
