What you will do:
- Carry out core assessments, pre-birth assessments, and risk assessments to ensure children's safety and welfare
- Conduct Section 47 child protection investigations and implement necessary interventions
- Write detailed statements for court and represent the authority effectively
- Complete Section 7 and 37 reports for court proceedings
- Undertake home visits to monitor safety and provide ongoing support for families
- Keep up-to-date with case recordings and thoroughly document all interactions
- Convene and chair core group meetings, fostering collaboration with other professionals
- Engage in joint investigations and interviews with police to ensure cohesive child protection efforts
- Initiate and oversee care proceedings, playing a pivotal role in the care planning process
- Supervise contact, write reports for case conferences, and attend strategy meetings
- Develop and review comprehensive Child in Need plans
