What you will do:
- Communicate effectively with clinicians, managers, service users, and families, ensuring clear and compassionate conversations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff, supporting their professional development and encouraging a high standard of care.
- Oversee occupational therapy student placements and facilitate a learning environment.
- Develop and implement policies, protocols, and care pathways to enhance service delivery.
- Manage a caseload using both theoretical and practical skills to assess, plan, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Occupational Therapy Qualification: Hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC Registration: Current UK HCPC registration is essential.
- Relevant Experience: Extensive post-qualification experience working with children and young people with complex needs.
- Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in occupational therapy assessment and treatment models, specifically neurodiversity.
- Clinical Reasoning Skills: Superior clinical reasoning skills and a comprehensive understanding of occupational therapy approaches.
