What you will do:

• Hold a reduced caseload of complex Child in Need, Child Protection, and pre-proceedings cases, ensuring thorough assessment, planning, and intervention in line with statutory requirements.

• Lead on safeguarding activities, including Section 47 enquiries, strategy discussions, and child protection conferences.

• Provide practice guidance, mentoring, and informal supervision to Social Workers and ASYE staff, promoting reflective practice and high standards.

• Develop and review outcome-focused plans, integrating safeguarding and family help interventions to reduce risk and improve family functioning.

• Prepare high-quality reports for court, case conferences, and legal planning meetings, contributing to Public Law Outline (PLO) processes where required.

• Contribute to quality assurance, audit activity, and service development, supporting continuous improvement and Ofsted inspection readiness.
