What you will do:

Hold a reduced caseload of complex Child in Need, Child Protection, and pre-proceedings cases, ensuring thorough assessment, planning, and intervention in line with statutory requirements.

Lead on safeguarding activities, including Section 47 enquiries, strategy discussions, and child protection conferences.

Provide practice guidance, mentoring, and informal supervision to Social Workers and ASYE staff, promoting reflective practice and high standards.

Develop and review outcome-focused plans, integrating safeguarding and family help interventions to reduce risk and improve family functioning.

Prepare high-quality reports for court, case conferences, and legal planning meetings, contributing to Public Law Outline (PLO) processes where required.

Contribute to quality assurance, audit activity, and service development, supporting continuous improvement and Ofsted inspection readiness.
