Flourish Medical is recruiting a Senior Dental Officer to join an award-winning Community Dental Service delivering NHS dental care within a secure healthcare setting in Norfolk.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Dentist seeking a part-time role that offers genuine clinical variety, outstanding work-life balance and the chance to improve the oral health of patients who often have significant unmet dental needs.

Working three days per week alongside an experienced Specialist Dental Nurse, you'll be supported by a highly regarded multidisciplinary healthcare team while delivering patient-centred care in a unique and rewarding environment.

No previous prison dentistry experience is required—full induction, security training and ongoing support will be provided.

About the Dental Officer role

As a Senior Dental Officer, you'll provide comprehensive NHS dental care within a secure healthcare setting, delivering treatment to patients with a wide range of oral health needs.

You'll carry out assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning and preventative care while working closely with prison healthcare colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team. The role also offers occasional opportunities to support other Community Dental Service clinics across Norfolk when required.

Without the pressures of UDA targets, you'll have the time to focus on delivering safe, compassionate and high-quality care that genuinely improves patients' health and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a full range of NHS dental care and treatment
• Carry out oral health assessments and treatment planning
• Provide preventative, restorative and emergency dental care
• Promote oral health education and disease prevention
• Work alongside an experienced Specialist Dental Nurse
• Maintain accurate clinical records and high standards of clinical governance
• Collaborate with prison healthcare teams and other healthcare professionals
• Support Community Dental Service clinics across Norfolk where required
