Flourish Medical is recruiting for an Associate Dentist to join a long-established dental practice in Newport, Shropshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Dentist looking for a predominantly private role with an NHS element, offering 1–3 days per week, £14–£17 per UDA and excellent scope to develop private and Practice Plan income.

The practice has an established and loyal patient base and offers both Practice Plan and private pay-as-you-go dentistry, alongside NHS treatment. This creates a particularly attractive opportunity for an Associate looking to grow their private dentistry while retaining some NHS work.

Please note: UK dental experience, an active NHS Performer Number and the right to work in the UK are essential. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

About the practice

You will be joining a long-established dental practice in Newport providing predominantly private dentistry alongside NHS treatment.

The practice has a loyal patient base and offers patients a combination of Practice Plan membership and private pay-as-you-go dentistry, providing the incoming Associate with genuine opportunities to develop a strong private list.

This could particularly suit an Associate Dentist currently working within NHS or mixed dentistry who is looking to increase their private clinical experience and earning potential while maintaining an NHS element to their role.

Your role

As an Associate Dentist, you will:

• Provide high-quality private and NHS dental treatment
• Build and maintain strong, long-term patient relationships
• Develop private and Practice Plan patient lists
• Identify appropriate private treatment opportunities
• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical records
• Deliver excellent patient care and communication
• Work collaboratively with Dental Nurses and the wider practice team
• Maintain high standards of clinical governance and compliance

What we're looking for

To be considered for this Associate Dentist position, you will need:

• GDC registration as a Dentist
• Active NHS Performer Number
• Previous UK dental experience
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
• Valid DBS or willingness to obtain one
• Confidence providing NHS and private dentistry
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• A professional and reliable approach
• An interest in developing private dentistry and building long-term patient relationships

Location

The practice is based in Newport, Shropshire and is commutable from Telford, Shrewsbury, Stafford, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Market Drayton, Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas across Shropshire and the West Midlands.
