What you will do:
- Coordinate and implement tailored physical healthcare plans to maintain the optimum well-being of service users.
- Ensure the completion of routine and ad hoc tests such as blood screenings and document results in Care Notes.
- Lead the development of care plans, ensuring clear interventions are in place to meet physical health needs.
- Support the clinical team on the ward and fill in staffing gaps as required.
- Organise and record ECGs as prescribed by the Consultant.
- Provide training and ensure compliance with nasogastric tube feeding prescriptions and updated care plans.
- Contribute to weekly ICR meetings with insights on physical healthcare plans.
- Chair the hospital's healthy living group, promoting topics such as obesity, smoking cessation, and exercise on a monthly basis.
- Serve as the infection control lead, offering advice and education across clinical and non-clinical areas.
- Conduct clinical audits and emergency drills.
- Facilitate workshops on physical healthcare best practices.
- Coordinate timely immunisations, including flu and routine childhood vaccinations.
- Work collaboratively with families and professionals to promote healthy living practices.
Qualifications / Requirements / Person Specification:
- NMC Registration: Hold a full and valid NMC registration.
- Experience: Possess a minimum of 2–3 years of post-registration experience.
- Clinical Skills: Experience with nasogastric tube feeding and phlebotomy is required.
- Training Ability: Ability to train others and a sound understanding of mental health issues is essential.
