Are you ready for an exciting opportunity to bring your Occupational Therapy skills to the bustling town of Slough? We are looking for talented Occupational Therapists to join our team for a temporary two-month contract. You'll be working full time, 37 hours a week, from 12th August 2026. What you will do

  • Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments in service users' homes to evaluate functional ability, independence, and environmental risks.
  • Develop personalised care and support plans tailored to individual needs, recommending suitable equipment, adaptations, and interventions.
  • Perform moving and handling assessments as necessary to support safe discharge and promote independent living outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with service users, families, and carers, guiding them towards achieving agreed-upon goals.
  • Independently manage a specialist Occupational Therapy caseload, ensuring the highest standards of practice.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary working and case discussions to offer well-rounded care.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants, contributing to their professional growth.
  • Contribute to service development activities and ensure practice aligns with current legislation, policy, and evidence-based guidance.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical records.

Qualifications and experience required

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with social care experience.
  • Proven track record in completing holistic assessments and managing an independent caseload.
  • Experience in a Long Term Team or Adult Social Care setting is advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of equipment and adaptation provision and the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable

  • Previous Local Authority experience and experience supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • Knowledge of relevant Adult Social Care legislation and complex case management.
