What you will do:
- Conduct home visits to assess children exhibiting challenging behaviours related to disabilities such as ADHD and Autism, ensuring comprehensive evaluations.
- Prepare thorough reports for rehousing considerations and provide recommendations for adaptations or equipment to minimise risks within the home environment.
- Deliver specialist assessments and advice regarding bathing, seating, and manual handling for children with physical disabilities, and provide suitable equipment solutions.
- Efficiently screen and triage children's OT referrals to ensure timely and appropriate support is provided.
Key requirements:
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Minimum of 18 months experience working as a qualified Occupational Therapist in Children's Social Care within the UK.
- Proven ability to assess and support children with a variety of needs and provide guidance on suitable intervention strategies.
