What you will do:
- Perform routine and planned maintenance on a diverse range of vehicles, ensuring all are safe, efficient, and compliant with regulations.
- Conduct vehicle diagnostics and repairs using both hands-on expertise and advanced computerized systems.
- Manage and prioritise your workload effectively, maintaining high standards of quality and working to deadlines.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively, ensuring the workshop remains a space for productive work.
- Participate in standby and rota systems, providing essential vehicle support during out-of-hours times including weekends as needed.
- Engage in routine administrative tasks and documentation, maintaining accurate records for vehicle maintenance.
- Support and promote a culture of safety, adhering to safe working principles and highlighting areas for improvement.
- Work both independently and collaboratively as a team member, contributing to a positive environment.

Requirements:
- City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Craft qualification or equivalent motor vehicle maintenance qualification, NVQ level 2 or higher.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- A full UK driving licence (Cat B); readiness to obtain Cat C LGV licence within 18 months if required.
- Experience in maintaining and repairing cars or light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
- Ability to respond effectively under pressure and produce high-quality work consistently.
- A commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Willingness to work toward becoming an MOT tester.
- Must be willing to provide cover via standby.
