We are seeking a Social Work Team Manager to helm our Assessment Team, offering a fantastic chance to make a real difference in children's lives. What you will do:

Lead and manage a team of social workers responsible for initial assessments and safeguarding interventions.
Oversee referrals and assessments, including Child in Need (Section 17) and Child Protection (Section 47) processes.
Ensure timely and high-quality statutory assessments, care planning, and decision-making.
Provide supervision, performance management, and professional development to team members.
Chair and contribute to strategy discussions, case conferences, and multi-agency safeguarding meetings.

Person Specification:

Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) with evidence of continued professional development.
Management or leadership qualification desirable but not essential.
Registered with Social Work England with strong knowledge of legislation including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
Enhanced DBS clearance required.
