Locum Job Opportunity: Band 7 Pharmacist - Radiopharmacy in the heart of Cambridge, earning £31 per hour. What you will do:
- Serve as the Radiopharmacist or Radiopharmaceutical Scientist within the Radiopharmacy, working alongside the QA Manager.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to develop novel production methods and lead the production of gallium-based Radiopharmaceuticals.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS) in compliance with EU GMP requirements suitable for the manufacture of 'Specials' licensed medicines and IMP Radiopharmaceuticals.
- Plan, organise, and coordinate analytical and environmental monitoring services in conjunction with contract laboratories.
- Maintain environmental monitoring databases and produce monthly trend reports.
- Contribute to the annual programme of Radiopharmacy self-inspections.
- Perform quality control testing of radiopharmaceutical preparations.
- Collaborate with Production and QA Managers to stay ahead of changes to EU GMP requirements and implement necessary adaptations.
- Participate in training, ensuring competency-based development of staff and trainees.
Requirements of the Pharmacist:
- Active GPHC Registration.
- Previous experience in a UK-based NHS Pharmacy.
- NVQ or equivalent pharmacist qualification.
