What you will do:
- Manage a caseload of service users with complex, severe, and enduring mental health needs, utilising evidence-based and recovery principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment.
- Integrate evidence-based practice and skilful use of assessments and interventions with personal recovery principles to enhance the quality of life for service users. Support them in achieving their personal goals and living the life they desire.
- Apply an in-depth understanding of the effects of mental illness and physical conditions by providing training and advice on lifestyle adaptations to improve service user environments.
- Conduct assessments and make recommendations regarding the provision of equipment, aids, and environmental adaptations.
- Provide leadership and supervision to junior or unqualified staff, fostering a supportive learning environment.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Recent experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the UK.
- Recent experience within the NHS is essential.
- Registration with the HCPC is required.
