What you will do:
- Conduct assessments and initial appointments for children on the waiting list, ensuring each child receives timely care.
- Manage equipment in educational settings to ensure the safe and risk-free use of prescribed postural seating, preventing any detrimental impact on postural development.
- Utilise your paediatric experience with standardised assessments, specialist equipment setups, and conduct thorough reviews.
- Work intimately within a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care and support for each child.
- Provide expert advice for Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP) and gain valuable experience within special schools.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- A degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Recent experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the UK.
- Hands-on NHS experience, providing familiarity with its structure and demands.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Your paediatric know-how will be essential for tackling the unique challenges in children's occupational therapy.
