We have a fantastic ongoing opportunity for a Band 6 Crisis Practitioner within the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team. This pivotal role is based in Bury St Edmunds, where you will be at the forefront of delivering expert care to individuals with complex mental health needs. You will earn competitive rates of £26 per hour during the day, £34 for nights and Saturdays, and £41 on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Full-time and flexible locum positions are available, allowing you to enjoy the flexibility and variety that locum work brings.

Join the West Suffolk CRHTT team at Wedgwood House, Hardwick Lane, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 2QZ, where you will work alongside a dynamic team dedicated to making a difference. As a Crisis Practitioner, you will work shifts to support a service that operates 24 hours a day all year around, with long day shifts from 07:45 - 20:15 and night shifts from 19:45 - 08:15.

What you will do:

- Deliver high-quality, person-centred mental health care to individuals with complex mental health needs.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments, and develop and review care plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and coordinate care across different services.
- Manage a caseload of patients, respond to crisis situations, and support recovery-focused care.
- Work collaboratively with service users, carers, primary care providers, social care, and partner organisations.
- Guide, supervise, and support junior colleagues, students, and support staff, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Demonstrate professional leadership and sound clinical judgment, staying updated with relevant legislation and safeguarding processes.

Requirements of the Crisis Practitioner:
- A degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing.
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Proven experience working as a Mental Health Nurse.
- Effective communication, risk assessment, and planning skills.
- Readiness to undertake essential training such as Conflict Resolution and Breakaway.
